Before the current standardized naming conventions were codified, chapters were encouraged to choose their own monikers. Our original moniker, “The Crossroads Chapter”, was established in 2016. Not only was it a reference to Gray, Maine (where almost every major route in Maine crosses and our chapter meets), but it also refers to every Veteran we help who has come to a crossroads. We respond and help them on their way. In time, we may be able to ride all over the state and ride by the home of someone we helped. If we had not been there to help when they were at a crossroads, they may not be where we can ride by. Many of us joined this group to be with people who understand what we have experienced. We joined because we were lost at our own crossroads.
On December 15, 2002 it was voted the CVMA® would wear a combination of the CVMA® background and the old skull logo as a one piece patch. Membership requirements being a new member had to be a Combat Veteran and ride a motorcycle as a hobby. This patch is worn by Full Combat Members only.
